E Ink’s Advanced Color e-Paper (ACeP™) is a new type of electrophoretic display (EPD) that provides the ability to display full-color images and text at a level of quality not previously achieved in this medium. To achieve this level of performance, however, images must be rendered in a format specifically intended for this new reflective display. E Ink provides this capability in the form of rendering software and associated data, designed to convert standard sRGB input images for display on an ACeP™ module. This rendering must occur on a local host processor or via a cloud-based rendering system prior to transferring the result to the ACeP™ display’s timing controller (TCON).

The website is being provided as a service to our ACeP customers, and supplies the rendering software executables for various popular platforms, along with the necessary rendering data for various ACeP™ panel production lots. In addition, for those who may not have their own rendering systems yet, we have on this site a cloud-based rendering service for the purpose of generating rendered images for demonstration of ACeP™ displays.
